Visiting Austin

I had to visit Austin last week for business, which happens every once in a while since my main client is there.  It also gave me a chance to see Kid #1 and his fiance (Kid #1.5?) and Kid #2.  It was booked kind of last minute, but I was able to get a room using my Hyatt points and was upgraded to a Sweet Suite at the Hyatt Regency on Lady Bird Lake. This hotel has been recently renovated and I am very pleased with the outcome.  The room was beautiful and way more than I needed for the night, but it was a nice little perk due to my status with Hyatt.

Fresca’s

For dinner, my son chose Fresca’s on South First, which is a cute Mexican food restaurant in South Austin.  We chose to sit outside, where they have a variety of picnic tables under huge oak trees.  Patrons bring their dogs, so we got to meet several while we enjoyed our meal. Apparently, their Avocado Margarita is amazing.   I didn’t have one, but my son and his fiance did and said they were fabulous.  I highly recommend Fresca’s and would go back again in a heartbeat!

Whoa…Things Look Different! That’s right, friends!  Behind the scenes, along with Gariele over at Dreamworthy Design, I have been working hard to create a website that’s calm, easy to use and very different than anything I’ve had in the past.  This site now features my photography, which I love, while…

Anthem of the Seas

What to Wear on Anthem of the Seas

My husband and I were able to cruise on Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas last fall.  We were having trouble getting our schedules to line up, but we made it work!  Somehow, the stars were aligned in our favor to make it happen.  This was our first time on this class of ship and I was really excited to check to out.

Favorite Beach Vacations

I recently asked my followers about what kind of content they would want to see from me. More often than not, they wanted to read about beach/ocean travel.  And since that’s right up my alley, I wanted to share the result. I’ve broken down my trips from least expensive to most expensive.
