harmony

My family and I just returned from our week on Harmony of the Seas, staying in a two-bedroom Aquatheater Suite.  This suite is part of Royal Caribbean’s Star Program, which provides a Genie for the week.  This Genie (Daniel, in our case) was responsible for helping us with our dining and show reservations, escorting us on and off the ship and basically acting as a ‘super-concierge’ for his guests.

The Aquatheater Suite

The Two-bedroom Aquatheater Suite on Harmony of the Seas will sleep six people comfortably, but technically has room for eight people.  The master bedroom has a king-sized bed, with its own bathroom.  There is tons of storage, a vanity. a bathtub in the bathroom and a safe in the closet.  It also has a sliding glass door unto the deck which lets in a lot of natural light.

The second bedroom with technically sleep four people.  The bedroom can be configured with two twin beds and two Pullmans.  It also has quite a bit of storage, but the bedroom does not have any windows, which can make a small room seem smaller.  The is a bathroom in the hallway for this bedroom that has the normal Royal Caribbean shower.

The living room does have a fold out couch that will sleep two adults if necessary.  We did not use it, so I can’t speak to how comfortable it was.

The Deck

The most amazing aspect of this suite has got to be the deck!  It is huge and faces the Aquatheater, where we watched several shows from our balcony.  The has a table that will seat six, two loungers on the ocean side of the deck and two more loungers that face the back side of the deck.  There are also four bar stools that face the Aquatheater for watching shows.  We spent a lot of time on this deck!

Our family decided to take this vacation to celebrate Kid #2’s college graduation and my and my husband’s anniversary.  Now that we are empty nesters, it has become increasingly difficult to be able to get everyone’s schedules to sync up for vacations like this, but we are so happy we did!  Having Star Suite benefits makes the week a bit easier, having quick access to someone who can easily answer questions or take care of any reservations we might need.  Although we had a couple of problems during the week (they were resolved), we highly enjoyed our time on Harmony of the Seas.  I will be reviewing our tours and restaurants in later posts, so thanks for following along.  As always, let me know if you have any questions!

That’s right, friends!  Behind the scenes, along with Gariele over at Dreamworthy Design, I have been working hard to create a website that’s calm, easy to use and very different than anything I’ve had in the past.  This site now features my photography, which I love, while…

Anthem of the Seas

What to Wear on Anthem of the Seas

My husband and I were able to cruise on Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas last fall.  We were having trouble getting our schedules to line up, but we made it work!  Somehow, the stars were aligned in our favor to make it happen.  This was our first time on this class of ship and I was really excited to check to out.

Favorite Beach Vacations

I recently asked my followers about what kind of content they would want to see from me. More often than not, they wanted to read about beach/ocean travel.  And since that’s right up my alley, I wanted to share the result. I’ve broken down my trips from least expensive to most expensive.

Was this a private deck accessible only from your room, or shared with other rooms?
